Suicide/Immediate Assistance

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline:

In case of a crisis that can lead to suicide, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: (800) 273-8255 or dial 988. This is a national network of local crisis centers that provide free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Crisis Text Line also provides free:

24/7 support for those in crisis via text messages. Text START to 741-741 from anywhere in the USA to text with a trained Crisis Counselor.

The Gay and Lesbian National Hotline (GLNH):

888-843-4564 provides crisis counseling for the LGBTQ+ Hotline 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.

Youth Support

GLBT National Youth Talkline:

GLNH provides nationwide toll-free peer counseling, information, and referrals to the LGBTQ community.

Peer counselors are available
Monday–Friday, 4:00 p.m. to midnight, and Saturday, noon to 5:00 p.m. EST.

National Hotline for Gay,
Bisexual and Lesbian Youth:

Provides comprehensive information about national and local resources for GLBTQ teens.

National Runaway Switchboard:

The National Runaway Switchboard provides crisis intervention and local and national referrals to youth and their families, training materials and resources for communities and schools and is the federally designated national communication system for runaway and homeless youth.

The Trevor Project:

Toll-free hotline:
The Trevor Project provides a national 24-hour toll-free suicide prevention hotline aimed at LGBTQ youth and offers an educational package and other resources to raise tolerance for LGBTQ youth in school and institutional settings.

Chemical Dependency/Substance Abuse

Pride Institute:

If you or someone you know is suffering from dependency to chemicals or engages in substance abus, call the Pride Institute: (800) 547-7433, which provides chemical dependency/mental health referral and information hotline for the LGBTQ community 24/7.

SAMHSA’s National Helpline:

You can also call SAMHSA’s National Helpline: 1-800-662-HELP (4357). Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)’s National Helpline, 1-800-662-HELP (4357), (also known as the Treatment Referral Routing Service) or TTY: 1-800-487-4889 is a confidential, free, 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year, information service, in English and Spanish, for individuals and family members facing mental and/or substance use disorders. This service provides referrals to local treatment facilities, support groups, and community-based organizations.
Callers can also order free publications and other information.

U.S. National Domestic Violence Hotline:

For cases of domestic violence, call the U.S. National Domestic Violence Hotline: (800) 799-7233 (English and Spanish) (800) 787-3224 (TTY).

Operating around the clock, seven days a week, confidential and free of cost, the National Domestic Violence Hotline provides lifesaving tools and immediate support to enable victims to find safety and live lives free of abuse. Highly trained, experienced advocates offer compassionate support, crisis intervention information and referral services in over 170 languages.

Rape Abuse and Incest National Network
(RAINN):

If you or someone you know have been victims of rape or sexual abuse, please call the Rape Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN): (800) 656-HOPE / (800) 810-7440 (TTY).

The nation’s largest organization fighting sexual violence, RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice.

SAGE's National LGBT Elder:

Senior members of the LGBT community may contact the SAGE’s National LGBT Elder line: 877-360-LGBT. This hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can request to speak with someone in English or Spanish by calling.

Veterans Crisis Line:

Veterans and members of the armed forces, their friends and their families may call the Veterans Crisis Line: 1-800-273-8255, and Press 1 or Text: 838255.

National AIDS Hotline:

In order to receive counseling and advice on HIV and AIDS, call the National AIDS Hotline (800) 342-AIDS / (800) 344-7432 (Spanish) / (800) 243-7889 (TDD).

The Department of Children and Families

To report abuse of a child, senior, or person with a developmental disability, contact the Department of Children and Families at 1-800-96-ABUSE.

Trans Lifeline:

Trans Lifeline’s Hotline is a peer support service run by trans people, for trans and questioning callers. Operators are located all over the U.S. and Canada and are all trans-identified. From the US call: 877-565-8860.

  • I hereby enter into this contract with LGBT+ Center Orlando, Inc. for the use of and have fully read and understood all rules and regulations governing the use of the facility.
  • I understand that the rental fee is per hour and agree to pay all fees prior to space usage.
  • I understand that LGBT+ Center Orlando, Inc. does not offer refunds.
  • I understand that I will be held financially responsible for any damage made to the facilities, appliances, furniture, or equipment.
  • I understand that I will be held responsible for the behavior of the group organization’s membership and its guests.
  • I understand that LGBT+ Center Orlando, Inc. may cancel the use of the facility if I or any persons in my group/organization do not comply with the user agreement and the guidelines.
