SUPPORT GROUPS

The Older Wiser Learners

Facilitated by The Center Orlando

Operates every Thursday:

1st, 2nd, 3rd Thursday from 1:00pm-4:00pm
4th Thursday from 12:00pm-3:00pm

The Older Wiser Learners

An in-person group for LGBTQ+ older adults.
The Older Wiser Learners (OWL) program is aimed at people 55 years of age or older who belong to the LGBT+ community in Central Florida.
Weekly meetings include Game Day & Senior Social, Grief & Loss Support Group, and monthly Lunch & Learns.
The OWL program aims to empower LGBT+ seniors in Central Florida by reiterating the idea that everyone has the inherent right to be who and what they want to be. It does this by serving as positive role models and active members of the community at large, connecting LGBT+ seniors to the resources they need to make informed decisions, and respecting them as the unique individuals they are as well as their family of choice.

HI-fiVe Orlando meets the 4th Thursday at 6:00pm.

HI-fiVe Kissmmee meets every 2nd & 4th Saturday at 12:00pm

Central Florida Transgender Peer Network

Facilitated by The Center (Peer lead)

Operates on Monday of each week:

6:00pm – 7:30pm.

Central Florida Transgender Peer Network

This is a peer-led support meeting for those with trans and non-binary experience. This makes it possible to get answers to inquiries, learn about one’s rights, establish ties to the community, and boost one’s self-esteem.
This group is for people over 18 who identify across the trans spectrum. Individuals who are transgender, non-binary, or gender non-conforming, regardless of sexual orientation, who want a safe space to discuss important topics, community issues, and awareness.

Child Gender Identity & Caregiver Support Group

LMHC lead & facilitated by The Center

Operates on the 4th Sunday of every month:

2:00pm – 4:00pm.

Child Gender Identity & Caregiver Support Group

A group where children who identify as transgender or gender nonconforming who are between the ages of 5 and 13 can gather to discuss issues that are important to them, explore topics that are of specific interest and concerns.
Alejandro Rodriguez, MA, LMHC, the transgender services facilitator at The Center Orlando, will guide a discussion for caregivers while children participate in activities related to the monthly theme.

Central Florida ACE ARO Peer Network

Facilitated by The Center (Peer lead)

Operates on the 3rd Saturday of every month via Zoom:

A virtual space for people who identify as being on the asexual or aromantic spectrum, or who are unsure of it.
This group was created with the aim of sharing knowledge, foster community, and provide support.

Orlando Youth Alliance

A space where LGBT youth between the ages of 13 and 23 can feel secure.
The mission of the Orlando Youth Alliance and its chapters is to provide a safe space for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth in Central Florida.

RECOVERY GROUPS

Wake Up Call (AA)

Facilitated by AA

Meets:

On Friday of each week; 7:00pm – 8:00pm.

On Sunday of each week; 10:30am – 11:30am.

Wake Up Call (AA)

This group is for folks who attend meetings for recovery/seeking meetings.
The primary purpose of alcoholics anonymous is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
You are welcome to attend this group if you believe you have an alcohol problem.

Rainbow Recovery (NA)

Meets:

On Wednesday of each week; 6:30pm – 7:30pm.

Rainbow Recovery (NA)

This group is for folks who attend meetings for recovery/seeking meetings.
The primary purpose of narcotics anonymous is to carry the message of recovery to the still suffering addict.
The goal of these meetings is to support each other in staying clean.

  • I hereby enter into this contract with LGBT+ Center Orlando, Inc. for the use of and have fully read and understood all rules and regulations governing the use of the facility.
  • I understand that the rental fee is per hour and agree to pay all fees prior to space usage.
  • I understand that LGBT+ Center Orlando, Inc. does not offer refunds.
  • I understand that I will be held financially responsible for any damage made to the facilities, appliances, furniture, or equipment.
  • I understand that I will be held responsible for the behavior of the group organization’s membership and its guests.
  • I understand that LGBT+ Center Orlando, Inc. may cancel the use of the facility if I or any persons in my group/organization do not comply with the user agreement and the guidelines.
